Maharana Mewar Foundation Invites Nominations for Annual Awards

Udaipur, 8 December – Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation, Udaipur, has announced the call for applications for its Annual Awards Ceremony scheduled for 15 March 2026. The foundation invites nominations for various international, national, state, and district-level awards recognizing outstanding contributions in multiple fields.

Dr. Mayank Gupta, coordinator of the Maharana Mewar Foundation Annual Awards Ceremony, stated that nominations are open for individuals who have made significant contributions at international, national, and state levels. The last date to submit applications is 20 December 2025. The awards will be presented on Sunday, 15 March 2026, at the 42nd Annual Awards Ceremony by the foundation’s President and Managing Trustee, Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar.

Applicants can download the forms for student awards from this link, and for international, national, and state-level awards from this link. Completed forms can be submitted between 10 am and 4 pm at City Palace’s Badi Pol and Sheetla Mata Gate.

Dr. Gupta explained that the foundation’s international award, the Colonel James Tod Award, is presented to foreign dignitaries committed to humanitarian and universal brotherhood services in Rajasthan. The award includes a cash prize of ₹2 lakh, a toran, a shawl, and a certificate. Priority is given to those who provide lasting services to Mewar.

At the national level, several awards will be presented: the Haldighati Award for notable contributions through print and electronic journalism; the Hakim Khan Sur Award for services promoting communal harmony, patriotism, national unity, and integrity; the Maharana Udai Singh Award for lasting contributions in environmental protection and conservation; and the Pannadhay Award for courageous acts beyond duty. Each national award includes a ₹1 lakh cash prize, a toran, a shawl, and a certificate.

State-level awards include the Maharshi Harit Rashi Award for excellence in spiritual awakening, Vedic traditions, and rituals; the Maharana Mewar Award for services contributing to educational, moral, social, and economic upliftment; the Maharana Kumbha Award for contributions in Indian culture, literature, and history; the Maharana Sajjan Singh Award for lasting services in painting, architecture, and fine arts; and the Dagar Gharana Award for outstanding talent in classical music, Indian classical dance, and folk dance in Rajasthan. Additionally, the Rana Poonja Award honours tribal community leaders in Mewar, and the Aravalli Award recognises outstanding achievements in sports. State awards carry a ₹51,000 cash prize along with a toran, shawl, and certificate.

For students, the foundation offers the Bhamashah Award for those completing bachelor’s degrees or diplomas during the 2024-2025 academic session from universities in Rajasthan or residents studying outside the state. The Maharana Raj Singh Award recognises students from Udaipur universities and colleges who have excelled in sports and academic or co-curricular activities. The Maharana Fateh Singh Award is open to school students from Udaipur who passed their 10th or 12th exams in 2024-2025 with high marks or who have shown excellence in sports and co-curricular activities. Student awards include a cash prize of ₹21,000, a medal, and a certificate.
