Bhopal, September 5 (Daily Kiran) : The Madhya Pradesh government announced on Saturday that six officers from the state administrative service have been transferred to significant positions within district panchayats and related administrative roles. This reshuffle aims to enhance the functionality of local governance.
New responsibilities have been assigned to officials currently working in development authorities, collectorates, election offices, and existing panchayat positions across various districts. Notably, Narottam Prasad Bhargav, who served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Gwalior Development Authority, has been transferred to the position of CEO at the Harda district panchayat.
Akhilesh Kumar Jain, also from the 2008 batch, will take over as the CEO of the Dhar district panchayat. He previously held dual roles as the additional collector of Guna district and a competent authority for Gail (India) Limited in Vijaypur, Guna.
Surabhi Tiwari, another officer from the 2008 batch, has been appointed as the CEO of the Vidisha district panchayat. She was formerly the Deputy Chief Electoral Officer for Madhya Pradesh stationed in Bhopal.
In a related move, Omprakash Sanodia from the 2011 batch has been transferred to serve as an additional fair officer for the Simhastha Mela in Ujjain. He had been the CEO of the Vidisha district panchayat prior to this appointment, which is crucial for organizing the large religious event expected to attract millions of devotees.
Shailendra Singh, also from the 2011 batch, is being reassigned from the Satna district panchayat CEO position to the same role in the Datia district panchayat.
Sapan Tripathi, from the 2012 batch, has been appointed as the CEO of the Satna district panchayat, moving from her previous role as the additional collector in Rewa district.
These changes are anticipated to strengthen rural local body administration and address the organizational needs associated with large-scale religious events. The officials have been instructed to assume their new responsibilities without delay. This administrative reshuffle is part of a broader strategy to improve the operations of district panchayats, which play a vital role in implementing rural development schemes, local self-governance, and coordinating with district administration.
