
Udhampur, October 2 (Daily Kiran) : Dr. Jitendra Singh, the Union Minister of State for Atomic Energy, has announced a funding allocation of ₹9 crore for the maintenance of the historic Devika River and an additional ₹4 crore for its revitalization. This announcement has sparked positive reactions from the local community in Udhampur.
Nisha Jabbar, a resident of Udhampur, expressed her appreciation, stating, “The issue of cleaning the Devika River has been ongoing for a long time. Dr. Jitendra Singh has introduced some plans to address this. We hope the funds are utilized effectively to create a better environment for both the river and the local residents. We thank him for this initiative.”
Another local resident highlighted the significance of the funding, saying, “We are incredibly grateful to Dr. Jitendra Singh. His contributions to our parliamentary constituency are substantial.
