
Udaipur witnessed a vibrant cultural programme organised by Lions Club Udaipur Ashoka and Suron Ki Mandali to commemorate Basant Panchami and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s Jayanti. The event, dedicated to senior citizens, was held at Tara Sansthan in Sector-14, creating an atmosphere filled with devotion and patriotism.
The programme began with a soulful invocation to Goddess Saraswati, setting a reverent tone for the celebrations. Following this, artists presented a series of devotional and patriotic songs that deeply engaged the elderly audience. Mukesh Madhwani, founder president of Suron Ki Mandali, shared insights about the event’s significance and the club’s ongoing social service initiatives.
During the event, club secretary Srichand Kathuria highlighted various philanthropic activities undertaken by the Lions Club. Arun Kumar Choubisa, secretary of Suron Ki Mandali, updated attendees on the organisation’s work and the progress of the music museum being developed in Udaipur, which aims to enrich the city’s cultural landscape.
Active participation was seen from club members Arun Choubisa, Kailash Kevaliya, Sameer Rohida, and Aziz Ali, who contributed through singing and other performances. The melodious voices of Narayan Salvi, Nikhil Kumawat, Narayan Lohar, Mahendra Chawla, Ramesh Datwani, Pawan Sharma, Dr. Harsha Nebhnani, Nutan Bedi, Madhu Kevalya, Divya Saraswat, and the five-year-old prodigy singer Parnika Kumawat enthralled the audience.
The event concluded with expressions of gratitude from Aarti Chittoda and Satish Kalal of Tara Sansthan for the support extended. Mukesh Madhwani reiterated the club’s commitment to social welfare, referencing their ongoing ‘Food for Hunger’ initiative and describing the programme as a symbol of their dedication to community service.
