Mumbai, May 22: Renowned singer Kumar Sanu, a prominent figure in the golden era of Hindi film music, is set to captivate audiences once again. Known for ruling the hearts of millions in the 1990s with his melodious voice, Kumar Sanu remains a beloved figure worldwide. His romantic songs continue to feature prominently in many playlists. This time, he is bringing a special musical gift for his fans, sharing the stage with his daughter, Shannon K. The duo will perform at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in London on May 25, 2026, as part of a grand live symphony orchestra concert.
This concert is anticipated to be a beautiful fusion of old and new music. The show will present timeless Bollywood hits accompanied by a large live orchestra, showcasing a blend of Hindi and English songs. Organizers believe this event will unite different generations through music.
Expressing his excitement about the concert, Kumar Sanu stated, “This journey began because of my fans. People have consistently asked about my daughter Shannon and appreciated her English songs. Seeing this, my team and I decided to include Shannon in the show. Initially, I was scheduled for just two concerts to gauge audience reactions.”
Kumar Sanu added, “When Shannon performed English songs on stage, audiences from Canada, the UK, and the USA showered her with love. This made me realize that people living abroad connect with both Hindi and English music. Shannon’s involvement has brought a refreshing touch to the 90s-themed show.”
He continued, “This is the second consecutive year I am embarking on such a musical tour. During this time, I have revived many memorable songs from the past on stage. Sharing the stage with Sadhana Sargam, a highly talented singer from the 90s, is always a special experience.”
Proud of his daughter, Kumar Sanu praised Shannon for her unique ability to present old songs in a modern pop style. “As a father, I feel proud of my daughter, as she is not only a great artist but also knows how to respect other artists,” he said.
Shannon also described this tour as a significant experience in her career. She remarked, “Sharing the stage with my father and legendary artists like Sadhana Sargam is an honor. Today, thanks to social media, remixes, and digital platforms, the new generation is rediscovering 90s Bollywood songs.”
