Mumbai, August 23: The ongoing verbal feud between Bollywood actresses Kangana Ranaut and Taapsee Pannu has resurfaced. On Saturday, Kangana took to social media to indirectly target Taapsee, labeling her a “cheap copy.” She accused Taapsee of making comments about her upbringing and parents. In response, Taapsee shared a cryptic post that many believe is linked to Kangana’s statement.
Kangana had posted on her Instagram story, which she later deleted. In her message, she wrote, “A cheap copy is roaming around with her upcoming B-grade film, but as always, the media only has Kangana Ranaut’s name to discuss. Today, she shamelessly crossed all limits by mocking my upbringing and parents.”
She continued, “I believe every parent does their best for their children. I never drag anyone’s parents into a debate, but today I want to ask her parents why they couldn’t produce an original person like mine? Why such a cheap copy? I truly feel sorry for your efforts.”
Following this, Taapsee responded indirectly without mentioning Kangana’s name. On Sunday, she shared a post on her Instagram stories that read, “Thus, it has been proven.” Given the timing and context, this message is perceived as a reaction to Kangana’s earlier comments.
Recently, Taapsee spoke to the media about her connection with Kangana. She mentioned that she has never met Kangana personally, and her opinion is shaped by the way Kangana communicates and views things.
Taapsee stated that a person’s manner of speaking and perspective reveals a lot about them. The situation is clear enough for everyone to decide who comes from where and what their mindset is.
The feud between Kangana and Taapsee began several years ago, with a notable verbal clash in 2019. At that time, Kangana’s sister, Rangoli Chandel, referred to Taapsee as Kangana’s “cheap copy” on social media, which garnered significant attention and highlighted the ongoing rivalry between the two actresses.
