Mumbai, August 23: Music composer and singer Akhil Sachdeva has revealed that last year he was removed from 3-4 major films at the last minute, despite having prepared songs for them. He prefers not to name anyone involved but emphasizes that his focus is now solely on music.
In a recent interview, Akhil discussed his career and personal life, particularly in relation to the song “Piya Ghar Aaya – Homecoming” from the recently released film starring Emraan Hashmi.
Akhil stated, “I don’t try to balance everything because not everything in life can be balanced. Perhaps that’s why I have never shifted to Mumbai. I create music in my home studio in Delhi, work quietly, and then return. I don’t want to be part of the crowd or the rat race.”
He continued, “What God has written for my life will happen. If mistakes are part of that, I will make them and learn from them. I never compromise. Whenever my song is released, people talk about it and don’t ignore it.”
Reflecting on his struggles, Akhil shared, “Last year, I was taken out of 3-4 big films at the last minute. I had already provided songs for those films. I won’t say the people involved were wrong; it was just that my time wasn’t in my favor. Then my daughter was born, and after that, many things improved in my life.”
Akhil noted that he has learned a lot from these experiences and that his goal now is to create good music and remain connected to his audience. He said, “For me, it’s not just about today or tomorrow. I was there before, I am here now, and I will continue to be. That is my belief, and with this mindset, I create music.”
