Krishna Hegde Supports Mohan Bhagwats Statement on Indias Global Leadership Potential

Mumbai, June 5: Krishna Hegde, a leader of the Shiv Sena party, emphasized that India is playing a significant role on the global stage. He backed the statement made by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, which asserted that India has the potential to lead the world. Hegde noted that despite existing social and political differences, under Prime Minister Modi‘s leadership, the nation will unite and emerge as a ‘global guru.’

He stated that many countries now regard India’s policies and leadership seriously. India has maintained a balanced and peaceful role during various international crises. Whether facing war-like situations or global tensions, India has consistently sought dialogue and peace. Hegde also mentioned that India is poised to play an even stronger role on the global platform in the future.

In the discussion, he referenced the Ukraine-Russia war and other international conflicts, highlighting India’s efforts in mediation and conflict resolution. According to him, this reflects India’s growing global reputation.

Hegde elaborated on India’s trade relations with Russia, noting that despite sanctions and pressures from Western nations, India has continued its trade ties with Russia. He asserted that India has never compromised its national interests under pressure.

He pointed out that trade between India and Russia is on the rise, reaching billions of dollars. India is purchasing crude oil from Russia, which helps stabilize energy prices domestically. Additionally, India exports various goods to Russia, benefiting Indian exporters.

He concluded that this expanding trade relationship is advantageous for both nations and that their partnership will strengthen in the future. Russian President Putin has also expressed a desire to further enhance relations with India.

During the conversation, Hegde shared his views on Tamil Nadu politics, mentioning that the DMK party had requested separate seating in the Lok Sabha, a request that Speaker Om Birla has accepted. DMK MPs will now be seen sitting separately, sparking discussions in political circles. He remarked that this change reflects the ongoing tensions and dissatisfaction within the opposition alliance ‘India.’ Tensions have also been observed between Congress and DMK in Tamil Nadu politics.
