New Delhi, March 31: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has launched a sharp attack on the opposition, particularly the Congress party, regarding issues of Naxalism, the FCRA amendment bill controversy, and statements made by the Prime Minister. He urged Congress and its leader Rahul Gandhi to engage in self-reflection about their stance.
Rijiju pointed out that Rahul Gandhi frequently shares platforms with individuals accused of promoting left-wing extremism. He emphasized that Gandhi’s associations raise concerns about his credibility.
He questioned why the Congress party leadership does not take a clear stance on Naxalism, especially when several party workers have fallen victim to violence linked to left-wing extremism.
“It is time for Congress workers to ask Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi why they are seen standing with individuals connected to extremism,” Rijiju stated.
The Union Minister also dismissed Congress’s claims that the government lacks action and that the economy is weakening. He countered, “The credibility of Congress and Rahul Gandhi is declining more than the value of the rupee or the economy.”
Rijiju asserted that the country’s image remains intact due to strong leadership. He referenced Prime Minister Narendra Modi, noting that despite numerous challenges, the nation has been kept under control.
He added that during crises, Prime Minister Modi has called for unity, yet Rahul Gandhi and Congress continue to politicize the situation, which he described as regrettable.
