Change is Inevitable in West Bengal: Suvendu Adhikari

Kolkata, April 3: Suvendu Adhikari, the BJP candidate claiming victory from the Bhawanipur and Nandigram assembly seats, stated that change in West Bengal is certain this time.

In a media interaction, he highlighted the successful election rally led by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. “I can confidently say that change will happen in Bengal. Mamata Banerjee will lose in Bhawanipur. This will be the second time she faces defeat after Nandigram,” he asserted.

Regarding the Malda controversy, Adhikari emphasized the need for strict action, but cautioned that it should be well-considered. “TMC members are looking for issues; we should not provide them with any,” he remarked. He mentioned that the NIA and CBI would be involved, and arrests should follow an investigation of CCTV footage.

On the Supreme Court hearing related to the SIR, Adhikari noted that a comment was made in the court. He pointed out how TMC leaders, MPs, and ministers have targeted the Supreme Court on social media. “Until now, they have been attacking the Election Commission, claiming it is a BJP branch. These individuals engage in violence and riots; anyone who does not support them is labeled as BJP,” he stated.

Adhikari has filed his nomination from Bhawanipur, stating, “I submitted my nomination as the BJP candidate in the presence of Home Minister Amit Shah. Our goal is to end the 15 years of misgovernance, corruption, terrorism, and appeasement politics by the TMC.” He promised the residents of Bhawanipur that they would liberate the area and all of West Bengal from the failed, corrupt, and oppressive rule of the past 15 years.

“Our commitment is to restore the fundamental rights, safety, and dignity of the people, creating a well-governed, peaceful, and developed Bhawanipur. The people desire change, a corruption-free administration, women’s safety, employment for the youth, and development in education and industry, along with the rule of law and a terror-free environment,” he concluded.
