Kerala Elections: Prime Minister Modis Rally Sparks Hope Among Palakkad Residents

Thiruvananthapuram, March 29: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Kerala has generated significant enthusiasm among his supporters and members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He is scheduled to address election rallies in Palakkad and Thrissur on Sunday evening.

The first rally will take place in Palakkad. A local resident expressed excitement to a news agency, stating, “We are eagerly awaiting the arrival of our world leader, PM Narendra Modi. He will soon reach Palakkad. We have high hopes for him, and he can do everything for Kerala.”

Another local commented, “The BJP has made consistent progress in recent elections and is emerging as the strongest party in Kerala. Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi is inspiring people across the state.”

Earlier, PM Modi expressed his anticipation of being among the people of Kerala. He posted on the social media platform ‘X’, “I am eagerly looking forward to being with the people of Kerala this evening. I will address a rally in Palakkad and then participate in a roadshow in Thrissur. The overall atmosphere in Kerala is in favor of the NDA. People are unhappy with the misgovernance of the LDF and UDF.”

It is noteworthy that the BJP is contesting the elections in alliance with the local party BDJS. Other NDA coalition partners include the regional party Twenty-20, Lok Janshakti Party (LJP), Shiv Sena, and the National People’s Party (NPP) led by Conrad Sangma.

The state is witnessing a triangular contest among the LDF, UDF, and NDA. The Left Democratic Front (LDF), led by CPI(M), faces the challenge of retaining power, while the Congress-led UDF is attempting a comeback, and the BJP-led NDA is hopeful for significant success.

This time, a total of 890 candidates are contesting in the Kerala assembly elections. According to the final voter list published by the Election Commission of India, 27.1 million voters are eligible to cast their votes in Kerala.
