Jitu Patwari Urges President and Governor to Address Kailash Vijayvargiyas Controversial Statement

Bhopal, June 29: Controversy has erupted following a statement made by Kailash Vijayvargiya, the Minister of Urban Administration in Madhya Pradesh. Congress state president Jitu Patwari has called on the President and Governor to take note of this issue. Recently, Vijayvargiya remarked that upon the BJP’s rise to power, officials and employees began to reference their connections to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

Patwari expressed his concerns on social media, stating that Vijayvargiya’s public statement raises serious constitutional questions. He noted that since the formation of the government, officials have started identifying themselves as affiliated with the RSS.

In a questioning tone, Patwari emphasized that if such identification is becoming common within the administrative framework, it is not merely a political comment. Instead, it poses a significant issue regarding the impartiality, neutrality, and constitutional integrity of the Indian administrative system.

Citing the Indian Constitution, Patwari asserted that it expects every government official to be loyal to the Constitution, rather than to any political or ideological organization. Therefore, he deemed a constitutional review of this statement necessary. Patwari urged the state’s Governor and the President to take cognizance of this statement and immediately inquire with the Madhya Pradesh government about its stance on Vijayvargiya’s remarks. He questioned whether the identity of administrative officials should be linked to any ideological organization and whether the Chief Minister distances himself from or supports this statement.
