Jaipur, June 29: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to inaugurate the Pachpadra Refinery on July 4, Rajasthan’s Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has labeled this mega project a game changer. He believes it will transform the state’s economic future and usher in a new era of industrial development.
On Sunday, Sharma conducted a comprehensive review of preparations at the refinery site, expressing confidence that this project would mark the beginning of a prosperous new chapter for the state.
The Chief Minister stated that the refinery is poised to change Rajasthan’s economic landscape and accelerate development across the region. Prior to the Prime Minister’s visit, he inspected the refinery complex.
Sharma held an extensive review meeting with officials from HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited (HRL) and the district administration. The meeting, which lasted approximately an hour and a half, focused on the refinery’s operational readiness, security arrangements, logistics, and preparations for the inauguration ceremony.
He directed officials to ensure that all arrangements related to the Prime Minister’s visit are completed within the stipulated timeframe.
Upon arriving at the refinery’s helipad, Sharma was welcomed by Minister in Charge Joraram Kumawat, Minister K.K. Bishnoi, MLA Hamir Singh Bhayal, Arun Chaudhary, and senior administrative officials.
Addressing the media after the review, the Chief Minister remarked, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is coming to Rajasthan on July 4. A historic moment is about to unfold in western Rajasthan, which people have been waiting for years. This refinery is set to change Rajasthan’s future.”
He noted that under Modi’s leadership, the country has witnessed unprecedented development over the past 12 years, including numerous welfare initiatives benefiting the poor and major infrastructure projects in Rajasthan under a dual-engine government.
Sharma added, “In just two and a half years, several development projects have been initiated in Rajasthan. The state is rapidly progressing and is set to reach new heights of development in the coming years.”
Before concluding his visit, the Chief Minister prayed at the revered Sambhar Aashapura Mata Temple, seeking blessings for the successful operation of the refinery and the prosperity and well-being of Rajasthan.
The inauguration of this refinery was originally scheduled for April 21 but was postponed due to a fire in the refinery’s CDU-VDU unit the day before. After resolving the technical issues, Prime Minister Modi will formally dedicate the refinery to the nation on July 4.
In preparation for the Prime Minister’s visit, officials from HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited (HRL) and the district administration are working tirelessly to complete all logistical, operational, and security arrangements.
The Chief Minister’s review is seen as a crucial step towards ensuring the smooth operation of one of Rajasthan’s most significant industrial inaugurations, as the Pachpadra Refinery is expected to emerge as a key driver of investment, employment, and economic development in the state.
