Mumbai, August 7: Renowned Bengali actor Jeet is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, “Keu Bole Biplobi Keu Bole Dakat,” set to hit theaters soon. In a recent conversation, he shared his initial dissatisfaction with the film’s title, expressing a desire for a shorter name.
However, he later acknowledged that the title has become the film’s unique selling point. Jeet noted that the title has sparked curiosity among audiences about the real identity of freedom fighter Anant Singh.
“I wasn’t very happy when the title was finalized, but now I am glad it was chosen. People are eager to know who he really was. For us, this has been a significant marketing point. We want to play on this curiosity. The truth will be revealed on August 14,” he stated.
Directed by Pathikrit Basu, this biographical action drama is based on the life of Indian revolutionary Anant Singh. Alongside Jeet, the film features notable actors such as Tota Roy Chowdhury, Kaushik Sen, Rajatava Dutta, Chandan Sen, Loknath Dey, and Mimi Chakraborty in pivotal roles. The film is scheduled for release on August 14.
Set against the backdrop of 1960s Kolkata, the film narrates the story of a mysterious elder named Anant, who robs powerful individuals, leading to a divided public perception. Some view him as a criminal, while others see him as a modern-day revolutionary. As Inspector Durga Roy pursues him, the narrative shifts through different timelines. The film illustrates how Anant was once a fearless revolutionary alongside Masterda Surya Sen in the fight for independence, only to become a desperate man fighting against corruption and injustice.
