Mumbai, June 18: The fifth season of “Gullak” is receiving an overwhelming response from audiences. The show’s greatest strength lies in its simplicity and its authentic portrayal of the lives of an average Indian family. In a recent conversation, actor Jameel Khan, who plays the character Santosh Mishra, shared important insights about his role and his perspective.
During the interview, Jameel Khan stated, “I don’t view the character Santosh Mishra merely as a role; I connect it to my personal life. The inspiration for this character comes from my father, and I have incorporated many life experiences into this role. When an artist infuses emotions from life into their character, it becomes more genuine and impactful.”
He further emphasized, “My thoughts have always been rooted in positivity, sensitivity, and love. I believe it is essential to uphold these values in life. For this reason, I portray my character Santosh Mishra with this mindset. I do not want any negative messages to emerge from my character.”
Jameel Khan remarked, “In today’s world, negativity is rapidly increasing in society, while positivity is gradually diminishing. In such an environment, I believe people should focus more on good and positive stories. It is easy to showcase negativity, but the real challenge lies in bringing forth goodness and sharing it with others.”
He added, “I view life from a broader perspective. Family is not just a small unit; it is the foundation of society. If the right mindset and behavior exist within a family, it ultimately influences society and the city as well. Based on this understanding, I strive to deeply comprehend and portray my characters.”
