Jackie Shroff Remembers Legends of Music and Cinema

Mumbai, February 4: Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff stands out in the film industry with his unique approach. Unlike many artists who focus solely on their personal lives or film promotions, Shroff often reminisces about Indian music, classic artists, and memorable faces. On Wednesday, he showcased his respect for classical music and cinema through his Instagram stories.

He first paid tribute to the legendary Hindustani classical vocalist Pandit Bhimsen Joshi on his death anniversary. Shroff shared heartfelt images of Joshi, accompanied by his famous bhajan, “Majhe Maaher Pandhari.”

Next, he celebrated the birthday of renowned actress Urmila Matondkar by sharing a beautiful video. The video featured various pictures of Urmila, highlighting her smile and innocence. He paired this with the iconic song “Tanha Tanha Yahan Pe Jeena” from the film “Rangeela,” one of her most memorable movies.

Furthermore, Shroff honored the late dancer and actor Bhagwan Dada on his 24th death anniversary. He shared a short clip of Bhagwan Dada, featuring his hit song “Shola Jo Bhadke.”

Through these three posts, Jackie Shroff paid homage to the rich heritage of Indian art, music, and cinema.

Recently, Shroff celebrated his 69th birthday. He received warm wishes on social media from his daughter Krishna Shroff, director Subhash Ghai, and several other actors.

Krishna Shroff shared a black-and-white photo of her father, writing, “Happy Birthday, my protector. Dad, I love you with all my heart and always will.”

Suniel Shetty posted a special picture with Shroff on his Instagram story, saying, “Happy birthday to my hero… Your heart is bigger than your legendary personality, and your warmth is rarer than your swag. I am grateful for your love and madness. Love you, Dada.”

Subhash Ghai also extended birthday wishes, stating, “Happy Birthday, my dear Jackie…” He included a special poem for Shroff, beginning with, “Honor is not in having a powerful father; honor is standing on your own feet…” He concluded with, “With love and blessings.”
