Beijing, June 14: According to Iranian media reports on June 13, arrangements for the farewell ceremony, procession, and burial of the late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei have been finalized.
The official schedule indicates that the farewell ceremony will take place from July 4 to 5 in Tehran, Iran’s capital. The funeral will occur on July 6 in Tehran, followed by a burial in Qom on July 7 and in Mashhad on July 9. The body will be interred at the Imam Reza shrine.
As reported by Iran’s Fars News Agency, memorial and farewell events will be held at various locations.
