Inter-State Vehicle Theft Gang Busted in Greater Noida; 18 Motorcycles Recovered

Greater Noida, September 11 (Daily Kiran) : Greater Noida police have made significant progress in combating vehicle theft by arresting three individuals linked to an inter-state motorcycle theft gang. The operation led to the recovery of 18 stolen motorcycles, along with an illegal knife from one of the suspects.

According to police reports, the gang was active in the Delhi-NCR region, where they would scout for motorcycles to steal. Once acquired, the stolen bikes were hidden in isolated areas and sold at low prices to unsuspecting buyers. On September 11, police received actionable intelligence about the gang’s activities, prompting a swift response.

Officers set up a blockade near a cremation ground on the service road of Kot village, where they successfully apprehended the suspects. The arrested individuals have been identified as Kalua, 35, from the New Population area of Dadri, Nitin Pandit, 18, from Nyadar Ganj, and Anmol Bharti, also 18, from Duda Colony in Chitahera.

During interrogation, the suspects revealed that gang members would conduct surveillance in various locales across Delhi and NCR. They would steal motorcycles when the opportunity arose, concealing them in forests or other secluded spots until they found buyers. The proceeds from these sales were reportedly shared among the members and used for personal expenses and leisure activities.

Police have now begun to compile information related to various vehicle theft cases registered at different police stations concerning the recovered motorcycles. Investigations are also underway to identify other gang members and individuals who purchased the stolen vehicles. Authorities believe that further inquiries could lead to the resolution of additional vehicle theft incidents.
