Influencer Ronisha Satti Accuses Police of Inaction After Suicide Attempt

Jammu, May 30: Social media influencer Ronisha Satti has made serious allegations against the police following a suicide attempt. Speaking from the hospital, she claimed that she and her family were harassed through a fake social media page allegedly created by her fiancé. Ronisha stated that the police failed to take timely action against the harassment.

In an interview, Ronisha mentioned that her condition has improved, although doctors are still monitoring her closely. “The entire Jammu has seen my accusations. My family has been targeted. Even my 12-year-old cousin has received abuse on social media,” she said.

Ronisha revealed that she was in a relationship with a man named Prashant Sharma, and they were set to marry. However, disputes arose between them. “We were about to get married. Like any couple, we had our disagreements, but that doesn’t mean it should escalate to court and police involvement. It should have been resolved within the family first,” she explained.

She alleged that her reputation was tarnished by the creation of fake social media pages. “I am being presented as guilty without any hearing or verdict. My entire reputation has been destroyed,” she lamented.

Ronisha disclosed that she had been visiting the police and cybercrime department for the past month. “If the police wanted to, they could have tracked the IP address. But no action was taken,” she added.

Expressing her concern, Ronisha stated that anyone could create fake pages and falsely accuse someone. “In such situations, anyone could take drastic steps like suicide,” she warned. She questioned, “If the police do not act, where will girls go?”

Despite the filing of an FIR, Ronisha did not lose hope and cooperated fully with the police investigation. “I provided all the evidence to the police, but just because they couldn’t prove anything, it doesn’t mean I should be defamed by fake pages,” she asserted.

She also accused that her private photos and videos were uploaded on social media, yet the police took no action. “I endured all this for a month, but when it became unbearable, I took this horrifying step,” she concluded.
