Noida, September 2: The Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate has achieved significant success in its initiative ‘Mission Cooperation,’ aimed at returning lost mobile phones to their rightful owners. Under the guidance of Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh and the leadership of Deputy Commissioner of Police Shailendra Kumar Singh, the Central Noida Police’s surveillance cell utilized technical means to recover 101 valuable smartphones from various companies, with an estimated total value of around ₹3.5 million.
According to police reports, the surveillance cell returned all 101 recovered mobile phones to their original owners on Wednesday. The joy on people’s faces upon receiving their phones was evident. Many expressed gratitude towards the Gautam Buddh Nagar Police for this initiative. Investigations revealed that most of the recovered smartphones were lost in crowded places, markets, during auto and bus rides, or while walking in the morning and evening.
After losing their phones, the affected individuals had filed missing reports at various police stations in the Central Noida zone. Losing a mobile phone not only causes financial loss but also raises concerns about personal photos, contact numbers, important documents, and other vital digital information stored on the device. Therefore, the police’s recovery of these phones and their return to the rightful owners provided significant relief.
The surveillance team employed technical analysis and utilized the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal to locate the lost smartphones. By analyzing technical information related to the phones, the police uncovered clues about their usage and locations. Through this technical process, the police team successfully traced and recovered all 101 mobile phones.
According to police officials, the success of this operation was attributed to the hard work of the surveillance team and the continuous analysis of data, along with the use of technical resources. The CEIR portal has made the tracking of lost or stolen mobile phones more effective. When the recovered phones were returned to their owners, they expressed their gratitude towards the Gautam Buddh Nagar Police.
People praised the police’s efforts and the ‘Mission Cooperation’ initiative, stating that recovering a lost expensive mobile phone was a significant relief for them. The recovery of 101 mobile phones and the return of property worth approximately ₹3.5 million to its rightful owners is considered a major achievement of the ‘Mission Cooperation’ campaign.
