Mumbai, March 29: Central Minister Ramdas Athawale has responded to the escalating tensions in the Middle East and the potential conflict between the U.S. and Iran. He emphasized that such a war would not be beneficial for the world and should be resolved through dialogue as soon as possible.
Athawale stated that India’s policy has always been one of peace. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also made it clear that war must cease and peace must be established.
He noted that India maintains good relations with the U.S., Israel, and Iran, and is striving for all parties to find a resolution through mutual discussions. Athawale warned that if the conflict escalates further, it would have global repercussions, which would be detrimental for everyone.
He suggested that a compromise formula should be reached between the U.S. and Iran to prevent the situation from worsening. Additionally, he urged the public to remain vigilant regarding rumors about LPG supply. He mentioned that some individuals are spreading unnecessary fears, creating a climate of panic among the populace.
Athawale clarified that there is no shortage of LPG or gas cylinders in the country. He pointed out that the Petroleum Minister has already confirmed that there is sufficient gas stock available for about two months.
He urged citizens not to pay attention to any rumors and reassured them that there is no need for panic. The government is closely monitoring the situation and ensuring all necessary arrangements are in place.
Athawale also commented on the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections, claiming that after the results are announced, Mamata Banerjee will step down from the Chief Minister position, paving the way for a strong NDA government in the state.
