Lucknow, March 31: As the race for the West Bengal Assembly elections heats up, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has openly supported Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He asserted that Banerjee will secure victory and form the government once again. In response, Uttar Pradesh Minister Danish Azad Ansari has countered Yadav’s claims.
Akhilesh Yadav believes that Mamata Banerjee will win the elections and become Chief Minister for the fourth time, leading to a significant defeat for the BJP. He stated that the BJP’s claims of forming a government will fail.
In a conversation in Lucknow, Minister Danish Azad Ansari remarked that the people of West Bengal are ready for change. He highlighted the large crowds at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rallies in the state, indicating strong public support for the BJP. Ansari is confident that the BJP will form the government in West Bengal.
He criticized the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government, labeling it as anti-people. According to him, Mamata Banerjee’s administration has hindered development in Bengal and treated the public unfairly, which is unacceptable.
Minister Ansari asserted that the electorate will respond decisively against Mamata Banerjee’s government in the upcoming elections.
Meanwhile, a BJP delegation has lodged a complaint with the Election Commission against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Central Ministers Kiren Rijiju, Sukanta Majumdar, and Piyush Goyal met with the Election Commission in Delhi to submit their petition.
The BJP’s appeal emphasizes the need for free and fair elections in West Bengal. They allege that the TMC has used intimidation to secure victories in the last three elections. This time, they insist that voters must be allowed to exercise their rights without coercion. The Election Commission is urged to ensure the protection of voter rights.
