New Delhi, August 29: Shobha Deepak Singh, Chairperson of the Shri Ram Bharatiya Kala Kendra and Padma Shri awardee, spoke extensively about the renowned play ‘Krishna.’ She highlighted that this presentation has long held a unique identity among audiences, depicting the life and messages of Lord Krishna in a theatrical format.
Shobha Deepak Singh explained that the concept and presentation of the ‘Krishna’ play are quite old. It includes significant events from Lord Krishna’s life, from his birth to various important episodes. The performance aims to convey concepts of duty and righteousness through messages like “Yada Yada Hi Dharmasya…”
She emphasized the importance of such presentations today, as many people are not well-acquainted with the aspects of Krishna’s life that are essential for the current generation to understand. To make the program more accessible and understandable, special arrangements have been made regarding the language. The performance is primarily in Hindi, but dialogues and contexts are also explained in English for the audience’s convenience.
Screens have been installed on both sides of the stage. The dialogues spoken by the artists are translated into English on these screens, allowing those who may struggle with Hindi to easily grasp the story and its messages.
Shobha Deepak Singh particularly appealed to parents to bring their children to watch the play. She noted that the content and presentation have been designed with children in mind.
