Indian Cricketer Tilak Verma Visits Tirumala Temple for Blessings

New Delhi, August 18: Indian cricket sensation Tilak Verma visited the Tirumala Temple in Andhra Pradesh to seek blessings from Lord Venkateswara on Tuesday morning.

Tilak participated in the Suprabhatam service at the temple, performing the rituals with great reverence. He donned traditional attire during his visit.

The young cricketer greeted fellow devotees at the temple and took pictures with fans after having a glimpse of Lord Venkateswara.

Currently, Tilak is spending quality time with his family away from cricket. He recently played in the T20 series against Zimbabwe as the vice-captain of the Indian T20 team.

This explosive left-handed batsman is considered the future of India’s middle order. His ability to adapt his batting style to various situations has made him increasingly vital for the team.

At just 23 years old, Tilak made a strong impression in the IPL with the Mumbai Indians, debuting in T20 internationals against the West Indies on August 3, 2023. He followed this with his ODI debut against Bangladesh on September 15, 2023.

Tilak played a memorable innings in the Asia Cup 2025 final against Pakistan, helping India clinch the championship. He has had ample opportunities in T20 cricket, scoring 1,645 runs in 56 innings across 59 matches, including 9 half-centuries and 2 centuries, with a top score of 120 not out. His strike rate stands at an impressive 145.18. In 5 ODIs, he has scored 68 runs, including one half-century, while eagerly awaiting his Test debut.
