Indian Armys Agniveer Preparedness Program Inspires Youth in Assam

Guwahati, May 27: The Indian Army’s Red Shield Division organized the ‘Agniveer Preparedness Program’ on Wednesday in the Charadeiv district of Assam. This initiative aims to motivate and guide local youth towards joining the army. The event, held under the Spear Corps, saw enthusiastic participation from a large number of local students.

According to officials, the program was conducted in collaboration with the district administration in Borhat, with around 200 students attending, including 56 girls. Army officials noted this as a positive sign of increasing interest among young women in defense services.

The primary goal of the program was to provide accurate information about the Agniveer recruitment process and to inspire better preparation among the youth. During the event, students received detailed insights into physical fitness, written exam preparation, selection processes, and various stages of army recruitment.

Army personnel engaged directly with the students, informing them about necessary physical standards, running, and endurance requirements for recruitment. They also provided guidance on exam patterns and preparation strategies.

Additionally, students were educated on the importance of discipline, dedication, leadership skills, and mental resilience for a successful career in the army. Officials stated that such programs not only help youth understand the recruitment process but also boost their confidence.

This initiative particularly encouraged youth from rural and remote areas to recognize national service opportunities and play their part in nation-building.

According to army officials, the Indian Army is consistently organizing awareness programs to engage and inspire youth in the northeastern region. An official statement highlighted that students were made aware of the significance of discipline, dedication, and leadership, motivating them to serve the country through the armed forces.

The district administration and local residents praised this initiative, noting that such programs provide new direction to youth while fostering better relations between the army and the public. Officials mentioned that similar programs will be conducted in several districts of the region in the future.
