India on the Path to Becoming a Global Leader: Umar Ahmad Ilyasi Reflects on Modis 12 Years in Power

New Delhi, May 28: Umar Ahmad Ilyasi, the chief imam of the All India Imam Organization, shared his insights on the completion of 12 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government. He emphasized that India is steadily progressing towards becoming a “global leader.”

In a recent conversation, Ilyasi highlighted Modi’s mantra of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas” as more than just a political slogan. He believes it embodies the spirit of unity and inclusive development in the country. Ilyasi urged every Indian to work together to strengthen the nation and promote Indian values.

He stated, “The nation is paramount, and we must all contribute to India’s unity, integrity, and development. Under Modi’s leadership, India is carving out a distinct identity on the global stage.”

Ilyasi also addressed the issue of offering prayers in public spaces. He acknowledged that while prayer is a vital aspect of Islam, it must be conducted under certain guidelines. He stressed that it is essential for Muslims to pray in clean and authorized locations.

He remarked, “It is obligatory for every Muslim to pray five times a day, but doing so in unauthorized areas, whether public or private property, is not appropriate.” He emphasized that since both central and state governments have clarified that prayers are not permitted on the streets, everyone should adhere to these regulations. Prayers should be conducted in mosques or designated areas.

On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, Ilyasi described the festival as a symbol of sacrifice, dedication, and devotion. He noted that the tradition of sacrifice in Islam has been observed for centuries as ‘Sunnat-e-Ibrahimi.’

However, he also reminded the public of their responsibility to follow government guidelines during celebrations. He pointed out that the central and state governments have issued clear directives prohibiting the sacrifice of restricted livestock.

Ilyasi urged people to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha peacefully, harmoniously, and responsibly, in accordance with the law and administrative guidelines.
