Chinas Regional Foreign Trade Shows Continuous Improvement

Beijing, June 12: China’s regional foreign trade has shown consistent improvement in the first five months of this year. Products like artificial intelligence have seen a year-on-year growth of over 50%.

According to the latest data released by the Customs Administration, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area recorded a remarkable growth of 18.8% during this period. This surge is supported by high-level manufacturing and industrial groups worth trillions of yuan.

This year, the city of Dongguan in Guangdong Province exported industrial robots valued at over 1.6 billion yuan, reaching markets in more than 60 countries. Emerging markets such as Thailand, Turkey, and Mexico have experienced a doubling of exports. The types of products include welding robots, handling robots, and assembly robots.

Currently, there is strong global demand in industries such as artificial intelligence, green technology, and low-carbon transformation, leading to an increase in trade of related products. China’s export momentum is continuously moving towards new and improved growth.

According to the latest customs data, the import-export value of foreign trade in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region increased by 14.4% in the first five months of this year. Notably, in May, both imports and exports reached their highest monthly historical levels.
