Nepals Foreign Minister and Myanmars President Set to Visit China

Beijing, June 12: Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Qian held a regular press conference on Friday. During this event, he addressed questions regarding the upcoming visit of Nepal’s Foreign Minister to China. Lin emphasized that China places significant importance on its relationship with Nepal. The visit aims to enhance mutual political trust, practical cooperation, and the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative, thereby advancing the China-Nepal strategic partnership.

Additionally, at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Myanmar’s President Min Aung Hlaing will undertake a state visit to China from June 15 to 19. In discussing this, spokesperson Lin mentioned that President Xi will meet with him during the visit. Prime Minister Li Qiang and Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, will also hold separate meetings with him.

Lin stated that China and Myanmar are traditional friendly neighboring countries and part of a community with a shared future. Through this visit, China seeks to deepen comprehensive strategic cooperation with Myanmar and achieve more practical outcomes in building a community with a shared future, ultimately benefiting the people of both nations.
