Inbound Tourism Thrives in China This Summer

Beijing, August 3: This summer, the term ‘China Cool’ has gained traction on foreign social media platforms. Many international tourists are flocking to China to escape the heat of summer. The allure of inbound tourism is on the rise.

Various regions in China are attracting foreign visitors due to their unique tourism resources. For instance, the stunning natural scenery of Zhangjiajie in Hunan Province, along with its cooler climate and activities like rock climbing and zip-lining, has made it a popular destination for international travelers.

According to statistics, the average daily number of visitors at the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon tourism site in July was around 10,000, with foreign tourists making up over 50% of that figure. To enhance the experience for international visitors, the site has launched a multilingual AI agent that supports real-time conversations in 14 languages.

In the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the local culture is particularly unique. During the summer holidays, the number of foreign visitors to the ancient city of Kashgar has surged. Several cultural heritage workshops and shops have drawn significant attention from international tourists.
