
Chandigarh, May 31: The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) in Mohali has announced job openings for 40 non-teaching positions across Groups A, B, and C. Interested candidates can submit their applications until June 15.
The available positions include one each for Group A roles such as Superintending Engineer, Deputy Registrar, Deputy Librarian, Principal Technical Officer (Laboratory), Senior Technical Officer (Information Technology), and Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil/Electrical). Group B offers two positions each for Senior Superintendent and Physical Education Instructor, along with one each for Library Superintendent, Senior Technical Assistant, Counselor, Nurse, Junior Engineer (Civil/Electrical), and Junior Translator (Rajbhasha). Group C includes one Pharmacist, eight Junior Technical Assistants, eleven Junior Office Assistants (Administration), three Junior Office Assistants (Accounts), and one Attendant.
The online application process commenced on May 3 and will close on June 15 at 5:00 PM. Eligible candidates are encouraged to visit the official IISER website to complete their registration before the deadline.
Applicants must hold relevant degrees such as BE/BTech, MSc, BS-MS, MCA/MTech, or other qualifications from recognized institutions, along with the required experience in their respective fields. The maximum age limit for candidates varies from 32 to 56 years, depending on the position, with age relaxation available for reserved category candidates.
Selection will be based on a written examination, skill test, interview, and document verification. Selected candidates will receive salaries ranging from Level 1 to Level 13 of the 7th CPC pay scale, depending on the position.
Candidates must pay the application fee online, which is set at ₹1,298 for Unreserved (UR) and OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) applicants, and ₹708 for EWS candidates. Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Divyangjan, Ex-servicemen, and female candidates are exempt from the registration fee.
To apply online, candidates should visit the official IISER website, click on the active application link for the relevant position, register, and log in. After filling in the required information and uploading the necessary documents, they should pay the registration fee and submit the form. It is advisable to keep a printed copy of the application for future reference.
