Jaipur, July 21: Rajasthan’s Education Minister, Madan Dilawar, has announced that applications for the recognition of new private schools will be accepted starting July 31. The recognition process will be made more transparent, timely, and straightforward, with strict adherence to deadlines at every level.
During a review meeting on the recognition process for private schools and pending applications held at the education complex, the minister instructed officials to ensure full compliance with all government regulations. He warned that strict action would be taken against schools violating these rules.
In reviewing the recognition process, Dilawar directed that the first-level inspection committee complete its inspection and submit its report within seven days. Following this, the District Education Officer (DEO) will examine the report and forward it within 15 days, after which the Director of Education will make the final decision on recognition.
He emphasized that inspections must be conducted with complete transparency, and the entire process, from committee formation to report submission, should adhere to the established timeline. Officials causing unnecessary delays will face action. Every deficiency found during inspections must be clearly documented, and applications will only be accepted in the prescribed format.
The Education Minister stated that student safety is the government’s top priority. Necessary amendments will be made to the recognition process to strengthen safety standards, and regulations will be simplified.
Inspection teams have been instructed to thoroughly examine student seating arrangements, school buildings and classrooms, prayer areas, access facilities within the campus, and other essential infrastructure and safety measures.
Dilawar also directed schools to ensure that students are safely dropped off inside the school premises rather than outside.
He reiterated that private schools must fully comply with all prescribed rules and standards. Disciplinary action will be taken against schools that violate regulations, and their recognition may be revoked if necessary.
The minister also instructed officials to take strict action against schools that enroll dummy students, send students to coaching centers during school hours, operate without recognition, or violate mandatory educational regulations.
Dilawar added that schools should not withhold transfer certificates (TC) or other essential academic documents due to outstanding fees. Action will be taken against schools that harass students or parents in such cases.
