Kota, July 17: Students who excelled in the NEET-UG re-exam held on June 21, amidst a paper leak controversy, reported that the second exam was “more favorable” for them. They noted significant improvements in their scores and All India Ranks following the re-exam.
Ayush Balotia, who secured an All India Rank of 4 in the re-NEET, initially scored 695 marks in the canceled exam but improved to 710 marks this time. He shared with a news agency, “My coaching classes were from 2 PM to 8 PM. After that, I would have dinner at the mess and study for about two to two and a half hours. Then I would check my phone for a while before going to bed. I followed this routine almost every day.”
Kartik Chaudhary, who achieved an All India Rank of 16 in the re-NEET, also expressed that the second exam was more advantageous for him. He stated, “I scored 700 marks in the first exam and improved to 705 marks this time. With 705 marks, I received an All India Rank of 16, which is a great rank. Although the previous paper was slightly easier, this one was better in terms of difficulty, and the results of my studies over the past two years reflected in my score.”
Discussing his preparation for the national medical entrance exam, Kartik mentioned that he studied at night. “I studied from around 9:30-10 PM until 4:30-5 AM. After that, I would sleep until about 12:30 PM and then attend coaching classes from 2 PM,” he explained.
Kritika Jain, who secured an All India Rank of 18 in the re-NEET, shared that she scored 705 marks in the previous exam held on May 3. “I expected my rank to drop because the paper was easier and many students scored higher. However, when the re-NEET was announced, I felt I could improve my rank. Although my score decreased to 701 in the re-exam, my rank improved,” she said.
Gunjan, who achieved an All India Rank of 52 in the re-NEET, reported a score of 695 out of 720. “I scored 690 in the first exam, and my score increased to 695 this time. Yes, the re-NEET worked in my favor, and my rank improved,” she added. She emphasized the importance of revising Inorganic Chemistry, which she often struggled with, while finding the other papers manageable.
