Jaipur, June 22 — The monsoon has firmly set in across Rajasthan, with widespread rainfall continuing to impact daily life in several regions. The Jaipur Meteorological Centre has issued an orange alert for Bharatpur, Dholpur, Karauli, and Sawai Madhopur districts for Sunday, while a yellow alert remains in place for 26 other districts. So far, the state has recorded 109% more rainfall than average for the season.

Heavy water flow led to incidents such as a tree collapsing onto a house balcony in Pali. In Jodhpur, intense rains flooded a culvert, causing a tragic accident where a car belonging to a plywood trader skidded and fell into a drain, resulting in three fatalities.
During the past 24 hours, Pali, Rajsamand, Bhilwara, Ajmer, and Jodhpur experienced particularly intense rainfall. Pali’s Rani and Marwar Junction areas recorded 68 mm of rain, while Jodhpur’s Balesar saw over 77 mm. Other regions including Bhopalgarh, Bawadi, Osian, and Tinwari also reported heavy showers.
In Ajmer, the Sarwad and Kekri areas enjoyed cooling rains, with Sarwad receiving 52 mm and Kekri 30 mm of rainfall. Rajsamand’s Amet reported 79 mm of rain, and Kumbhalgarh saw over an inch.
