
Patna, August 28: On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Bihar Minister Nishant Kumar received a Rakhi from women associated with the Brahma Kumari Ashram. They urged him to lead an anti-drug campaign and dedicate himself to serving society.
The women from the Brahma Kumari Ashram met with Nishant Kumar in Patna and tied the Rakhi. They secured a promise from him to actively participate in the campaign against substance abuse. They also suggested, “Just as we have not married, if you also remain single, you can serve society even better.”
Brahma Kumari Parvati spoke to reporters, stating that the Brahma Kumari Ashram is running a campaign against drug addiction. She mentioned that Nishant Kumar assured them of his support in this initiative. During their meeting, they emphasized that by remaining unmarried, he could enhance his ability to serve the community.
Brahma Kumari BK Suhas added, “We tied a Rakhi on Nishant Kumar. Today is a day of purity, and he expressed his willingness to collaborate with us.”
Another Brahma Kumari woman shared, “We tied a Rakhi on Nishant Kumar, wishing him good health and prosperity. We secured a promise from him to lead the anti-drug campaign.” She noted that they have already encouraged nine lakh people to pledge against drug use. Given that Nishant Kumar oversees the health department, they made a specific request to him.
She concluded, “Nishant Kumar assured us that he would hold meetings and continue to support the Brahma Kumari Ashram in the anti-drug campaign.”
