Hansi, October 5 (Daily Kiran) : Haryana’s Education Minister, Mahipal Dhanda, has made headlines with a strong critique of the opposition while promoting reforms aimed at enhancing the state’s education system. Speaking in Hansi, Dhanda described the government’s vision as a “dream project” of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.
In his address, Dhanda highlighted the introduction of an academic calendar for the first time in Haryana, a move he claims is unprecedented in India. He emphasized that this initiative will help students understand their preparation timelines, ensuring they make the most of their educational journey.
While he refrained from giving a specific timeline for the completion of these reforms, Dhanda assured that steps are already being taken. He expressed optimism that the implementation of the academic calendar would significantly benefit students.
Turning his attention to the opposition, Dhanda dismissed recent allegations made from the podium, suggesting that claims regarding political threats and manipulation are unfounded. He remarked, “If the power to sway votes existed, they would have formed their own government instead of dreaming about ours.”
Dhanda further questioned the credibility of those making such claims, stating, “Your candidate can’t even secure five thousand votes, yet you think you can form a government? Speak about what is realistic.”
On the topic of vacancies within the education sector, Dhanda confirmed that a survey has been conducted to assess the number of unfilled positions. He noted that the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) has been informed and is already processing the necessary actions. Recently, promotions were granted to several colleges, and the recruitment process for the vacant posts will commence as reports come in.
The minister’s remarks underscore the government’s commitment to educational reform while simultaneously tackling the political rhetoric from opposition parties.
