Meanwhile, the injured woman, identified as Rajvati, was transported to Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital with a gunshot wound to her right leg.
Initial investigations revealed that the revolver was registered under Neeraj’s father’s name. Forensic teams were called to gather evidence from the site. Witnesses reported that Neeraj had locked himself inside the room. After hearing gunfire, they broke down the door and found him injured on the floor.
Rajvati, who lives adjacent to Neeraj’s home, recounted her experience during questioning. Around 7:00 to 7:15 AM, Neeraj had called her asking for a clay pot, a product his family sells. While she was ascending the stairs to her home, he allegedly shot her in the leg.
