There is good news for tourists planning to visit Ooty, as a special hill train service will soon be launched between Mettupalayam, Udhagamandalam, and Coonoor for the convenience of travellers. Journeying through the hills to Ooty by train promises to be a memorable experience for all visitors.
According to the information received, the Mettupalayam-Udhagamandalam special train will depart from Mettupalayam at 9:00 am on 23 and 30 August, 5 and 7 September, and 2, 4, 17, and 19 October. The train will reach Udhagamandalam via Coonoor at 2:25 pm. The same train will depart from Udhagamandalam at 11:25 am on 24 and 31 August, 6 and 8 September, and 3, 5, 18, and 20 October, reaching Mettupalayam via Coonoor at 4:20 pm.
The Udhagamandalam-Coonoor special train will depart from Udhagamandalam at 2:50 pm on 23 and 30 August, 5 and 7 September, and 2, 4, 17, and 19 October, arriving at Coonoor at 3:55 pm. The same train will run in the opposite direction from Coonoor at 9:20 am on 24 and 31 August, 6 and 8 September, and 3, 5, 18, and 20 October, reaching Udhagamandalam at 10:45 am.
Additionally, the Coonoor-Udhagamandalam special train will depart from Coonoor at 8:20 am on 5, 6, and 7 September and 2, 3, 4, 5, 18, and 19 October, reaching Udhagamandalam at 9:40 am. On the return journey, this train will depart from Udhagamandalam at 4:45 pm on 5, 6, and 7 September and 2, 3, 4, 5, 18, and 19 October, arriving at Coonoor at 5:55 pm.
