Supporters view this as a significant achievement that could reopen the Strait of Hormuz, reduce regional tensions, and advance discussions on Tehran’s nuclear program.
The White House announced that President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance have reached an agreement with Iran aimed at ensuring that Tehran never acquires nuclear weapons, restoring free navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, and establishing a framework for future diplomacy.
In a joint statement, G7 leaders expressed their support for this success and opportunity in the Middle East. The statement emphasized that the agreement presents a historic chance to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons and to address threats related to its regional and ballistic activities.
