Udaipur, October 17 (Daily Kiran): The Additional District and Sessions Court No. 2, presided over by Judge Damanthi Purohit, has granted anticipatory bail to Dr. Kirti Kumar Jain, Managing Director of GBH American Hospital, in connection with a case registered at Hathipol Police Station. However, the court has ordered that Dr. Jain cannot leave the country without prior permission.

The case pertains to allegations of vandalism and illegal occupation on the premises of a nursing college on the night of September 26.
During the hearing, Dr. Jain’s counsel argued that he is 71 years old and has been working as an oncologist in the United States for the past 49 years. It was also stated that he was not present in India at the time of the incident and therefore could not have been involved.
After reviewing the facts, the court observed that there was no need for custodial interrogation of Dr. Jain and thus granted him anticipatory bail.
Under the bail conditions, Dr. Jain has submitted a personal bond of ₹50,000 and two sureties of ₹25,000 each. The court also directed that he must cooperate with the investigation, not influence witnesses, and refrain from leaving India without the court’s permission.
The judge clarified that the bail order has been issued solely in the interest of justice and investigation and does not reflect on the merits of the case.
