New Delhi, April 7: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed deep sorrow over the deadly missile attack in Haifa, urging citizens to remain vigilant and adhere to safety protocols.
Tensions remain high following the ballistic missile strike in northern Israel that claimed four lives. The government stated that this attack targeted residential areas and was orchestrated by the Iranian regime and its supporters.
In a post on the social media platform X, Netanyahu stated, “I spoke with Haifa Mayor Yona Yahav and expressed my profound sadness over the tragic loss of four lives in Haifa. Yahav made several requests, and I immediately instructed my Director General to make every possible effort to assist both the families and the municipality.”
Netanyahu emphasized, “The most important thing is that those who follow the Home Front Command’s instructions and stay in safe areas have almost no chance of being injured. Therefore, I urge all Israeli citizens, especially those in the north who are currently enduring this difficult experience, to comply with the Home Front Command’s directives. I know how challenging this is for you. We will do our utmost to provide assistance.”
According to Israel’s Government Press Office, the Iranian regime and its allies are targeting innocent civilians in residential areas. The missile attack in northern Israel last night resulted in the deaths of four individuals.
On the other hand, Iran has clarified its position and demands regarding recent ceasefire proposals. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei stated that Iran has rejected the so-called “15-point plan” previously presented by the United States, deeming it “excessive and unbalanced.” Tehran views these demands as contrary to its interests.
During a media briefing, Baghaei made it clear that “ultimatums and threats of war crimes do not align with negotiations.” He asserted that Iran will not engage in talks under any form of pressure, prioritizing the protection of its strategic interests.
Iran condemned former President Donald Trump’s threats to attack its infrastructure, such as power plants and bridges, labeling them as “war crimes.”
In response to U.S. officials’ comments regarding increasing attacks on Iran and discussions about negotiations, Baghaei stated that the actions taken by the U.S. over the past year have completely undermined its credibility in diplomacy. He accused the United States of betrayal and ignoring international norms.
