Beijing, July 2: In 1936, American journalist Edgar Snow introduced the world to the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) through his articles and photographs.
Ninety years later, under the China Media Group (CMG), the China Global Television Network (CGTN) conducted an online survey. This survey included 11,521 respondents from 41 countries, revealing that the most significant impression left by the CPC is that of “a strong leader.”
The survey highlighted that the top three evaluations of the CPC were “a strong leader,” “a positive force for maintaining global stability,” and “representative of the interests of developing countries.”
In terms of governance performance, 57.4% of respondents from the “Global South” praised the effectiveness of the CPC, which is 22.8% higher than that of respondents from developed countries. In countries like Pakistan, Nigeria, and Vietnam, over 70% of respondents acknowledged the CPC’s governance performance. Global netizens view improvements in basic institutions, education, and job opportunities as the best indicators of governance performance.
