New Delhi, February 25: The Panchang holds significant importance in Sanatan Dharma as it indicates auspicious and inauspicious timings for various activities. February 26 is dedicated to Narayan and the Guru of Gods, Brihaspati. On this day, the Shukla Paksha’s Dashami Tithi will last until 12:33 AM, after which the Ekadashi will commence.

The Panchang consists of five components: Tithi, Vaar, Nakshatra, Yog, and Karan, each holding distinct significance. According to the Drik Panchang, on February 26, the Nakshatra Mrigashira will be present until 12:11 PM, followed by Ardra. The Yog Preeti will remain effective until 10:33 PM. This day is marked by Ravi Yog, which is considered highly auspicious. Sunrise will occur at 6:49 AM, and sunset will be at 6:19 PM.

These five components assist in determining auspicious moments, such as the Abhijit Muhurat from 12:11 PM to 12:57 PM and the Vijay Muhurat from 2:29 PM to 3:15 PM, both ideal for auspicious activities. The Brahma Muhurat will be from 5:09 AM to 5:59 AM, while the Godhuli Muhurat will take place from 6:16 PM to 6:42 PM. The Amrit Kaal will be between 1:23 AM and 2:53 AM, with Ravi Yog being effective throughout the day.

The Panchang also highlights inauspicious times and Yogas to avoid starting new ventures. Rahukal will be from 2:00 PM to 3:27 PM, Yamgand from 6:49 AM to 8:16 AM, and Gulik Kaal from 9:42 AM to 11:08 AM. Durmuhurt will occur from 10:39 AM to 11:25 AM, during which caution is advised.

Thursday is dedicated to both Narayan and Brihaspati. It is customary to perform special prayers and charitable acts on this day. Consuming yellow foods, wearing yellow attire, and applying yellow sandalwood or turmeric on the forehead are considered beneficial.
