
Malda, March 14: On March 14, the ERWWO Malda, under the leadership of President Manisha Gupta, organized various welfare programs in celebration of International Women’s Day.
During the event, a Continuous Passive Motion (CPM) machine for knee physiotherapy was inaugurated by Manisha Gupta at the Malda Divisional Railway Hospital, in the presence of Dr. Anupa Ghosh, the Chief Medical Superintendent. This machine aims to enhance physiotherapy services at the hospital and provide better treatment facilities for patients.
Following this, a prize distribution ceremony was held at Kalindri Bhawan, Malda, which commenced with the lighting of a lamp. During the program, Manisha Gupta honored outstanding female railway employees from various departments in Bhagalpur, Jamalpur, Sahibganj, and Malda Town. This initiative reflects the commitment to the welfare, encouragement, and recognition of the exemplary work of railway employees.
As part of the week-long celebration, several programs were also organized. A seminar on financial awareness took place in Malda, along with painting and debate competitions, where participants showcased their creativity and confidence.
To promote health and teamwork, a box cricket match for female employees was organized on March 12. Additionally, a seminar on “Health and Mental Well-being of Female Employees” was conducted on March 13.
Through these initiatives, ERWWO Malda reaffirmed its commitment to the empowerment and overall welfare of female employees.
