Eastern Railway Womens Welfare Organization Celebrates International Womens Day with Community Initiatives

Malda, March 14: As part of the International Women’s Day celebrations, the Eastern Railway Women’s Welfare Organization (ERWWO) in Malda organized several welfare activities on Saturday under the leadership of President Manisha Gupta.

On this occasion, Manisha Gupta inaugurated a ‘Continuous Passive Motion’ (CPM) machine for physiotherapy, donated by ERWWO, at the Malda Division Railway Hospital. This machine aims to enhance physiotherapy services at the hospital, providing better treatment facilities for patients.

Following this, a prize distribution ceremony was held at the Kalindri Bhawan in Malda, which was marked by a formal lighting of the lamp. During the event, Manisha Gupta honored outstanding railway employees from Bhagalpur, Jamalpur, Sahibganj, and Malda Town, who work across various departments in the division. This initiative highlighted ERWWO Malda’s ongoing commitment to the welfare, encouragement, and recognition of railway staff.

From March 8, a week-long series of events under the theme ‘Give to Gain’ took place at Kalindri Bhawan in Malda. These celebrations included a seminar on financial awareness, as well as painting and speech competitions, where participants showcased their creativity and confidence.

To promote fitness and team spirit, a ‘Box Cricket Match’ for female employees was organized on March 12. Additionally, a seminar focusing on “Health and Mental Well-being of Women Employees” was conducted, emphasizing the importance of health and care.

This initiative reflects ERWWO Malda’s dedication to empowering female employees and enhancing their overall well-being.
