Mumbai, March 14: The beloved television series “Ramayan,” created by Ramanand Sagar, continues to hold a special place in the hearts of viewers. Characters like Lord Ram, Sita, and Lakshman are still revered today.
In this context, Nisha Sagar, wife of Anand Ramanand Sagar, visited Ayodhya to pay homage at the Ram Temple. During her visit, she openly praised the developmental initiatives undertaken by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Prime Minister Modi.
Speaking to the media, Nisha Sagar expressed her emotions, stating, “As soon as I set foot at the Ayodhya airport, tears filled my eyes. My father-in-law, Ramanand Sagar, and my husband, Anand, created the Ramayan. Being here, I feel a deep connection; it feels like Ayodhya is my home. I feel proud to be here. My husband wished to visit in his final days, but due to being in a wheelchair, it was not possible. I am here today to seek blessings, hoping he can see everything.”
She shared that visiting Ayodhya evokes a unique emotion, recalling her time on set during the Ramayan’s filming. “My father (Ramanand Sagar) not only created the Ramayan but also made it accessible to every household. He connected society spiritually, reaching out to both the young and old.”
Nisha Sagar commended the government’s development efforts in Ayodhya, stating that they have not only built a temple but also contributed to social welfare. “Some people question the temple’s construction, suggesting hospitals would be better. However, I believe that the temple’s establishment has attracted devotees from abroad, boosting tourism and rapidly providing employment for local residents.”
She praised CM Yogi, noting the rapid development of Ayodhya and the airport during his tenure. “Our country needs leaders like CM Yogi, who possess strong leadership qualities.”
