Election Results Reflect Strong Mandate for Good Governance and Security: Gajendra Singh Shekhawat

Jaipur, May 4: Union Minister for Culture and Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, credited the recent victory in West Bengal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and the organizational strategy of Home Minister Amit Shah. He also acknowledged the efforts of party workers.

Shekhawat emphasized that the election results signify a robust public mandate in favor of development, good governance, and security.

He stated that the decision in West Bengal holds national importance, reflecting the people’s desire for change and stability in this strategically significant region. The minister highlighted the geopolitical importance of the state, which has a coastline along the Bay of Bengal and shares international borders with Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh. He noted that governance and security in this area are crucial for the country.

Shekhawat attributed this success to Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, Amit Shah’s organizational strategy, and the continuous efforts of grassroots party workers. He also credited the leadership of the BJP in the state, including National President Nitin Nabin, Bengal in-charge Bhupendra Yadav, and General Secretary Sunil Bansal, for the effective execution of the election campaign.

Describing the results as a continuation of the party’s ideological vision, he stated that they reflect voters’ aspirations for development-oriented governance and a strong administrative framework. Shekhawat had previously expressed confidence before the second phase of voting, asserting that political change in West Bengal was inevitable and that voters had already made up their minds in favor of the BJP.

Shekhawat has been assigned responsibility for 28 constituencies in North Bengal, including Mekhliganj, Mathabhanga, Cooch Behar North, Cooch Behar South, Sitalkuchi, Dinhata, Natabari, Tufanganj, Kumargram, Kalchini, Alipurduar, Falakata, Madarihat, Dhupguri, Maynaguri, Jalpaiguri, Rajganj, Sitai, Dabgram-Fulbari, Mal, Nagarakata, Kalimpong, Darjeeling, Kurseong, Matigara-Naxalbari, Siliguri, and Phansidewa. According to statements, the party secured victories in most of these seats, except for Sitai and Chopra.
