New Delhi, June 22: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Dr. Alka Gurjar’s election to the Rajya Sabha has sparked enthusiasm among party leaders and workers. BJP officials have hailed this as a recognition of dedicated party workers and women’s leadership.
After her nomination, Dr. Gurjar expressed gratitude to the party’s top leadership. Speaking to reporters, she stated, “The trust the BJP has placed in me will be met with my utmost dedication and commitment. Regardless of the position, a BJP worker always prioritizes the organization and national interest.”
Dr. Gurjar also addressed the topic of women’s empowerment. She noted, “Since 2014, significant steps have been taken to provide women with respect, safety, and political participation.”
She highlighted initiatives like ‘Lakpati Didi’ and ‘Drone Didi,’ which have played a crucial role in making women economically self-reliant. She assured that the Nari Shakti Vandan Act has initiated historic measures to enhance women’s political participation. Dr. Gurjar pledged to fulfill any responsibilities assigned by the party to further women’s involvement and empowerment.
BJP MP Harsh Malhotra congratulated Dr. Gurjar on her Rajya Sabha election, stating, “This is a moment of pride and joy for the BJP family. Dr. Alka Gurjar has long served as a co-in-charge of Delhi BJP, guiding workers like a family member. Her leadership and demeanor have continuously inspired the workers.” Malhotra emphasized that sending her to the Rajya Sabha is a fitting decision given her loyalty and dedication to the party.
BJP MP Manoj Tiwari also praised Dr. Gurjar, saying, “She has played a vital role in strengthening Delhi BJP. When she joined as co-in-charge, the organization received new energy, leading to several significant political successes in subsequent years.”
He expressed confidence that as a Rajya Sabha member, Dr. Gurjar would not only represent Rajasthan but also provide leadership and inspiration to women across the country.
