BRS Launches Week-Long Campaign to Expose Congresss 1,000 Days of Betrayal

Hyderabad, August 23: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) announced on Sunday that it will conduct a week-long statewide campaign in Telangana starting September 2. The party aims to highlight the alleged “betrayal” and unfulfilled promises made by the Congress government as it marks 1,000 days in power.

BRS Executive President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) urged party leaders and workers to reach out to every village and community during the campaign. He accused the Congress party of making 420 promises, 13 announcements, and six guarantees during the elections, all of which were supposed to be implemented within 100 days. However, KTR stated that none of these promises have been fully realized even after 1,000 days.

KTR pointed out that the people of Telangana are frustrated with the Congress government’s alleged administrative failures, corruption, and misgovernance. He called on party workers to raise awareness among the public regarding the government’s policies, administrative shortcomings, and alleged irregularities.

The campaign will not only focus on electoral promises but will also address various issues faced by different communities since the government took office. Under this initiative, BRS will run the “Baaki Card” campaign, which aims to inform the public about pending financial assistance and outstanding payments under various schemes.

KTR alleged that promised monthly financial aid for agricultural laborers, senior citizens, women, students, and youth has yet to be disbursed. He emphasized that the Congress government has disappointed all sections of society, from farmers to women.

He also claimed that the Congress government has not released over ₹12,000 crore in fee reimbursements, an issue that will be widely raised among colleges and students.

KTR stated that the government has failed to fulfill its promise of providing employment to the youth. He called for separate programs for various groups, including auto drivers, women, farmers, tribals, Dalits, backward classes, government employees, and retirees.

He mentioned that the campaign will be tailored to address the specific issues of each group and will utilize social media to inform the youth about the Congress government’s alleged failures.
