Ajay Rai Criticizes BJP Over Donations to Ram Temple in Ayodhya

Ayodhya, August 23: Ajay Rai, the President of the Uttar Pradesh Congress, launched a fierce attack on the BJP government regarding donations to the Ram Temple during a visit to Ayodhya on Sunday. After performing prayers and reciting the Hanuman Chalisa at Hanumangarhi, Rai expressed that people are suffering from oppression, injustice, and rising prices across the country and state. He prayed to Hanuman Ji for wisdom for those involved in the donation-related issues and demanded action against them, urging their imprisonment.

Rai stated that the Congress begins its programs with a visit to deities. He said, “We have complete faith in Hanuman Ji. Now, let Hanuman Ji raise his mace and decide the fate of the donation thieves.” He accused the BJP of attempting to protect those accused of misappropriating funds donated to Lord Ram’s court.

The Congress state president also raised concerns about the management of the Ram Temple. He objected to the appointment of a Chief Executive Officer (CEO), asserting that this is a place of faith and should involve religious leaders. Rai alleged that there are attempts to commercialize the Ram Temple, which Congress will not allow.

He pointed out that under the BJP government, the common man is suffering from inflation. The rising prices of essential goods, including sugar, medicines, and food items, are causing distress among the public. He warned that once the relevant investigations and reports are released, Congress will mobilize protests across the state and country regarding inflation and other issues.

When asked about alliances for the upcoming assembly elections, Ajay Rai mentioned that the decision will be made by the national leadership of Congress. However, he claimed that Congress will enter the 2027 assembly elections with full force to oust the BJP from power. Rai emphasized that Congress will continue to fight for the people’s issues and urged party workers to strengthen the organization and engage with the public on matters related to inflation, injustice, and public welfare.

Upon arriving in Ayodhya, Rai was welcomed by Congress District President Chet Narayan Singh, former District President Rajendra Pratap Singh, and other senior leaders and workers. Following this, Rai held a meeting with party officials at the Kamla Nehru Bhawan District Congress office. The meeting focused on preparations for the upcoming assembly elections, strengthening the organization, and extending the party’s programs to villages.
