Divyendu Sharma Emphasizes the Importance of Struggle for Actors

Mumbai, May 20: Divyendu Sharma, renowned for his roles in films like “Pyaar Ka Punchnama” and “Batti Gul Meter Chalu,” has carved a significant niche in the film industry, particularly for his iconic portrayal of Munna Bhaiya in “Mirzapur.” He is set to showcase a different side of himself in the upcoming film “Peddhi,” starring Ram Charan. In a recent discussion, Divyendu opened up about the struggles actors face in their careers.

Reflecting on his early challenges, Divyendu explained that starting from scratch in Bollywood comes with its own costs. He believes that this struggle is what shapes an actor into a true artist. “Starting from scratch is crucial. There is a price to pay for it. That’s why it was important for me to begin from there,” he stated.

He emphasized that struggle refines and strengthens an actor. Divyendu shared that he always chooses projects that allow him to explore diverse characters and narratives. “I pay close attention to ensuring that the projects I take on involve different roles and stories. This gives me the opportunity to continuously challenge myself,” he noted.

Reflecting on his success without significant industry backing, Divyendu expressed gratitude and humility. “I feel very blessed and humbled. Reaching where I am today without any backing is fulfilling my dream. Today, I am a professional actor, and people appreciate and respect my work,” he said.

He also acknowledged the many aspiring actors still waiting for their big break in the film industry. “Every day, as I head to the set, I remind myself that I am living my dream. Many are still waiting for their chance. I consider myself lucky to have this opportunity. I express my gratitude to God, energy, and the artist within me for allowing me to express myself on screen,” he added.

Divyendu will be seen in a pivotal role alongside Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor, and Boman Irani in “Peddhi,” which is set to release on June 4.
